    Handsome fold-out 1951 Amoco road map of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, printed more than 68 years ago.
    This map opens to 27" x 19½" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by Rand McNally.
    There are inset plans of Bangor, Manchester, Burlington, Nashua, Portland, and Concord.
    This map was issued in 1951 and is dated by the code number in the lower margin: 1-463633. Population data is based on preliminary results from the 1950 census.
    This map was distributed by the American Oil Company to promote its Amoco gasoline and Permalube motor oil. The cover artwork depicts an Amoco service station and an oil refinery.
