Description
Handsome fold-out 1961 Amoco Oil Company road map of Pittsburgh and vicinity, printed more than 57 years ago.This map opens to 18" x 29" and has great detail on old street and highway alignments, including the "Spider Web Belt Route," with cartography by Rand McNally.
The coverage area extends from Aliquippa to Greensburg, including Coraopolis, Carnegie, Freeport, New Kensington, and McKeesport.
On the reverse side there are maps of the North and South Park Recreation Areas and a street plan of downtown Pittsburgh, including the Golden Triange.
The map was published by Amoco in 1961 and is dated by the code number in the lower margin: 1-3692-19.
The front cover photograph shows the Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh.
There's an ad for the American Oil Company's credit card on the back cover.

This map is in very good condition, bright and clean, with
no
