    Description

P&O: A fold-out (14" by 24") cruise plan from 1969 when the ARCADIA entered the North American cruise market.
Eight decks are shown on this big 30,000 tonner, from the Observation Club up on Boat Deck down to former immigrant cubbies on F Deck. Other than converting the Tourist Class Galley into a "Rumpus Room", it doesn't appear much changed from her two-class days. Even the large forward-facing First Class Nursery, occupying prime real estate on Promenade Deck, remained.
The ACADIA cruised into the mid-1970s for the U.S. market and then finished her days based in Australia. She was the last of a large and handsome generation of post-war P&O and Orient line that were built along similar lines. Her date with the breakers came in 1979, five years after her last sister went to ship heaven.
    Excellent condition.
