    This map opens to 18" x 25" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the National Survey. There are inset plans of Sioux City, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines.
    The photograph on the front cover shows the Smokehouse Tower in Amana, one of seven historic villages in the state comprising the Amana Colonies.
    This map was published in 1976 by the Standard Oil Division of the Amoco Oil Company and is dated in the legend (5/76). It locates Standard Oil service stations along major highways in the state.
