    Description

In this auction, I am selling an "Agfa Clack" camera, with its box, carrying case, and instructions. The Clack is essentially a somewhat spruced-up box camera which was made by Agfa in Germany between 1954 and 1965. In the US, it was sold under the name "Weekender". It uses "120" film, still available from photo retailers, and produces 8 negatives of the size 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". It has a simple meniscus lens of 95mm focal length, a self-winding shutter which has only 2 speeds, "M" (about 1/30sec.), and "B". In terms of apertures, it offers two, 11 and (about) 12.5. Also, there is a little close-up lens that the aperture lever can swap in, for distances between 3 and 10 feet. That's it. So, if the conditions are right for an exposure of 1/30sec at f 11 or f 12.5 (and you have a steady hand or a tripod), you get a reasonably well exposed negative of decent sharpness.
This camera is in nice cosmetic shape, with few signs of use. The shutter works (as it should; these things are pretty much indestructible), and all controls (such as there are) work as they should. Distances are in meters, not feet.
The camera comes with its original box, which has seen better days and has been taped a number of times. Also, there are 2 brochures, one in color describing the features of the camera, the other one in B & W, with the instructions. Both are in German (but for a camera this simple, you don't really need instructions). In addition, there is a (plastic) carrying case, intact, with strap.
Payment is expected within 2 days after end of auction (contact me before you bid, if this is an issue). I ship USPS, usually as Priority Mail.
    I do ship internationally, but
    only
through eBay's Global Shipping Program. This program will charge whatever customs duties or import fees your country requires; these are charges you would have to pay anyway, but the Global Shipping Program charges them up front. These charges are all determined by eBay; I have no control over them; eBay does not even let me know how much they are. Also, please be aware that the Global Shipping Program does
    not
allow for combined shipping (but for domestic shipping, I'll be glad to combine shipments if you purchase more than one item).
If you buy this item and, for whatever reason, don't like it, please return it to me within 4 weeks for a complete refund of the purchase price.
If you have any questions, please ask. I will do my best to answer promptly.
