    Description

AH1200 (1785) India - Mysore Gold Fanam (0.40g.), KM-128.1, Patan Mint (PCGS Gold Shield AU58)
Measuring approximately 5 to 6.5 mm and weighing about .3 to .4 grams, India Gold Fanams are the worlds smallest circulating gold coins. Gold Fanams were minted in high grade gold by several southern Indian states. With most being struck between 1700 and 1830, these coins use a stylized line and dot design to form abstract deities, animals or other art.
