Description
This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home.
It was originally located in the Master Bedroom as a built in vanity with a his and hers closet to either side.
It is made of chestnut and is unpainted with a dark stain.
The center section is recessed and backed with a mirrored door that faces a medicine cabinet.
Below the medicine cabinet is a table top and 3 drawers at the bottom.
To each side are doors to access the closet areas.
Each door has mirror opening (1 missing) with a raised panel below, there are carved pediments above the mirrors.
There is a drawer below each door.
The 4 legs are fluted with carved corbels and turned finials at the top.
The pediments are fluted and trimmed in egg and dart molding.
The central section has a magnificent carved crown at the top.
Magnificent piece!
It measures 113.5 inches wide by 103.5 inches tall and 20 deep.
It disassembles to load into a pick up or cargo van.
This is a face only, the closet areas do not have finished outside sides or backs as it was recessed into a wall.
Overall it is in fair condition.  There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique.  It could use a good cleaning.  There are small chips and dings. The right leg has a crack. The left door has chips and loss to the moldings surrounding the mirror. The same door has a wear spot along the edge. I needed 3 inch screws to mount the doors. 1 drawer needs to be rebuilt and another is completely missing. There is paint along the outside edges. The drawer pulls will need to be replaced. This piece has good bones but will need restoration.

I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition.
