The post  came from old Alabama homes and date back to the early 1900s or before. As you can see in the photos there is patina rusting but nothing out of character on such pieces.
Great as they are or they can be easily painted to match your style and décor.

The original collector of this fencing began collecting antiques, and antique architectural accesories from the many old homes that were torn down in Montgomery from the years 1935- 1970 and storing them in his warehouse with the intent of eventually building a home with them.
