Iron  Gate tastefully designed, hard to find, and attractive .
(Two other  Gates Listed on my Ebay Shop)!
As you can see in the photos there is patina rusting but nothing out of character on such pieces.
The iron is in good condition.  Nice  details.
These came from  old Alabama homes and date back to the early 1900s or before. Great way to add a safe secure , and nostalgic look  to your  property.
This type of  iron gates still  popular  today are hard to find these days--from days gone -many new homes that are under construction today do not include this  nostalgic element.
The  Price is  for the one Gate- In the photo you can see the   other fencing of this style available on my other Ebay Listing.
    Dimensions:
#F2- Tall  knob stye   iron  gate- very heavy  - height  3' 2"  tall-- by  3 feet wide    ( See my other Ebay listing for fencing of this style total footage is  14 feet )
This gate has a little History. The metal  on gate identifies it as being   made by:
    COMPOSITE IRON WORKS COMPANY
in business during 1873   at  109 Mercer Street  later moving to  83 Reade Street NEW YORK, 1884
This company was located in  New York City in the late 1800's and  specialized in   plain and ornamental iron works, railing  opera seats.
There was a profusion of cast iron foundries in New York, and Composite Iron Works was known for some of the most well executed and elaborate. They were commissioned  in  1904 to  create  an  iron alter  railing for the  famous Mexico Zacatecas Cathedral-Composite  Iron Works Co was the only copany in  New York  willing to undertake such a feat.
    G
reat for a special architectural  garden accent
    .
Rust but no major breaks and in good shape.
    The gate
can be easily painted to match your style and décor or left as is  for a great old patina.
What a nostalgic way to add an authentic flavor to your property.
The original collector of this fencing began collecting antiques, and antique architectural accesories from the many old homes that were torn down in Montgomery from the years 1935- 1970 and storing them in his warehouse with the intent of eventually building a home with them.
