    Description

Antique Sculpture of RIN TIN TIN GERMAN SHEPHERD owned by Lee Duncan
I visited Lee Duncan as a little girl with my dad, who was writing an article about him.
Lee Duncan was the owner of Rin Tin Tin.
He gave me this old sculpture.
SEE THE PHOTO AT THE END OF THIS LISTING OF THE PHOTO I TOOK OF MY BROTHER AND SISTER WITH LEE DUNCAN BACK IN UHHHHH MAYBE 1957!
This one had a slight "crunch" on the back side of Rinny.
See where the red pen is pointing - barely noticeable.
    Metal sculpture measures 7" long x 6-1/8" tall x 2-1/2" wide.
    It is hollow inside.
It looks like it used to be silver plated.
You can find a lot of information about this fabulous dog on the internet.
The original Rin Tin Tin was a mere puppy of five days old
when Corporal Lee Duncan insisted that his battalion in Lorraine, France
check out a bombed war dog kennel during World War I.
What he found on that fateful day of September 15, 1918
was a mother German Shepherd Dog and her litter,
the only survivors of the bomb dropped.
