Antique Tight-Weave Woven Wicker Creel Fishing Basket.
Measures approximately 8.5” tall, 14” at widest, with 6x10”:opening at top. Basket has intact, working flip lid, with leather 9”rule embossed on top. Wonderful crossed leather bands on front and back. Original leather straps in good condition, but missing one back handle and part of leather above latch due to age and use. Basketry is tightly woven and solid, with clean interior. Estimate circa 1900. Overall very good condition.
