Black Antique Box Camara with manual shutter, uses 2x2 film.
No brand is visible on the exterior (my mother told me it is a Brownie).  I tried to open it to see if there were markings on the inside, however, at the risk of breaking something, I did not proceed to open it.  Something appears hung and will not allow the unit to open easily.  Someone with more experience with these types of camaras may have better luck.
The shutter is still functional and is controlled solely by the user's hand.  it has a viewfinder for looking downward into the camara in portrait or landscape (though it doesn't matter since the photos are 2"x2" square) as well as a straight-on view.
There are two adjustments on the top of the camara that slide out from the camara.  I have no idea what they do.
There is damage to various parts of the exterior which is all visible from the photos.
