by 10 CFM for 50 CFM vent fans, but more importantly
reduces fan noise
to a much more quiet 2.5 Sones (for these vent fans which all range from 3.5 to 6 Sones)

This upgrade kit works for
vent fans with standard D Housing type can size: 7 1/2" x 7 1/4" x 3 5/8" depth:
NuTone 693 695 696N
(not -R03, see below)
Broan models 670, 671, 671MX, 688, 689 & Nautilus models N671, N688
with Revision G ( 1986 ) or later
(for example 670G or 688K where G or K is the revision).

NOTE
:
This kit does not work for:
NuTone 696N-R03
with larger standard B Housing type can size: 8" x 7 1/4" x 3 5/8" depth
early Broan & Nautilus pre-1986 versions
: 670A, 671A, 688A-E, 689A-D, Nautilus N671A, N688A-E which had a larger standard J Housing type can size: 8" x 8 1/4" x 5 3/4" depth)
