    Description

    I did not write the "About This Product" you see above, and some of it is wrong. Next to be likely to be shipped 2465A has seen  9707 hours of use (equivalent to about 5 years), serial # is B010264, made in 1986. If I have to substitute another (or if you buy more than 1), the other will have similar usage.
    If you hit BIN, I will send you a freshly calibrated, refurbed, working, Tek 2465A scope, with instructions I'll email you as a pdf once I have your email. Tek used to charge over 00 for these in 1986-'88, so you are getting it for about 10%, still in good condition. Comes with 14 days right of exchange/store credit.
    I enabled the "make offer" button not to invite pay cuts (which don't incentivize my best efforts on your behalf), but rather to enable you to pay more to get more, such as:
    a) add frequency counter option for 4 more;
    b) add TV sync option 5 for 6 more (composite video signals have equal amplitude V & H sync at vastly differing rep rates which tend to confuse normal trigger circuits that mostly care about amplitude; also this option lets you trigger on a specific line # of an odd or even field; option mostly helps those looking at video signals);
    c) extend guaranty from 30 days to 365 for 0 more (even with the added expense, it is still be cheaper than buying one of my 2465Bs without the extended guaranty);
    d) add a P6063B probe for 0 more;
    I have not recently used a make offer button on ebay for offering more than BIN, but if it no longer works for >BIN, I will still sell you what you want. When offering more please specify what you want added. Also, please refrain from offering less as eBay already cuts my pay by keeping an eighth or more of what you send me, and cheaper 2465As are available from others (with the added risk of not working right).
    2465A is predecessor of 2465B and successor of 2465. 2465 did not have auto-scaling which is present on 2465A. 2465B added some auto-measures which 2465A does not have. 2465A cost 00 new when made from 1986 to 1988, but you can get it here for a tiny fraction, working fine. 2465A is a well designed 4 channel 350MHz bandwidth portable analog package from the repairable era (newer TDSs, Agilents, Keysights, Rigols, Owons,.. are not really repairable to component level). It is more reliable and better performing than 475, 475A, 485, and 2465 that you might find (and compare to) on ebay. One advantage an A may have over a B is a more dependable processor board (thanks to avoidance of SMDs).
    Most scope probes you may already have should work with this scope. Examples of suitable probes are Tek: P6101, P6105, P6106, P6109, P6062, P6063, P6131, P6133, P6136, P6137 (these are widely available among eBay listings; some even from my listings).
    Photos were not taken on serial B010264, but it looks just as nice. First photo shows leading edge of a 1MHz square wave whose risetime (and that of the scope) reads about 1.04nS, consistent with the capability of a 350MHz scope. This is a far more stringent test than others showing a scope can display trace zero signal lines or 1KHz signals. 2nd photo shows what TV option 5 (available for 0 more) shows what it can do: let you stably trigger on your choice of odd or even tv field & line # (in this case: odd & 19). Photos were taken on units already sold, but my last is in best condition (and has a blue face filter).
    I choose to work on 2400s because they were the last repairable scopes Tek made. 2400s are my specialty, so mine shall arrive working correctly, whether you're buying just 1 or several to outfit an entire lab or classroom. Please keep in mind if buying another's 2465A, that chances are, regardless of price, almost certain theirs may have problems. I sell them because I fix them, others sell them because they need fixing. It simply isn't reasonable to expect a scope will have lasted 33 years without accumulating some issues that a seller may or may not be aware of. Also, most sellers have no idea how many hours theirs accumulated. The clock maxes out 99999, which is a lot more than you want...
    Please be sure Ebay has your current correct address before you pay. I am required to ship to address Ebay has for you. Mistakes are costlier to fix after you pay as there are some irreversible "frictional" losses in the payment system which make "store credit" the only practical "refund".
    Ebay as a large e-commerce facilitator, is required to collect sales tax for many of the 50 States (may spread to all). I have nothing to do with that and I don't collect sales tax on my own out-of-California sales. If you don't want to pay a large tax (and you are not in CA), then first buy something cheap(er) from me, like a probe or pouch, and a workaround will present itself.
    You get a 14 day right of return (exchange or store credit) provided you don't breach tamper seals, return everything in same shape as received, pack it as well as I, and pay for all shipping.
    BUY more than 1 INCENTIVE: If you pay BIN on this one, I will offer you a 10% DISCOUNT on a 2nd item bought from me (if you're going to buy a probe from me, you'll save more by buying probe first, scope second).
    If you need probe(s), buying a probe first can save you 10% on the scope as a 2nd purchase.
    HURRY INCENTIVE: If you BIN (or more) by 2 July 21, I will add a probe FREE, but you may still want to buy 1 first from my probe listings to save 10% on the scope, and wind up with 2.
