Description

Hutterer & Sohn Original Mandelbox Nut Roasting Machine
The Hutterer “Mandelbox” Almond Roaster was the first almond roaster in the world. It was introduced at the 1954 Oktoberfest in Munich. Today, it is still the finest quality, best selling almond roasting machine in the world.
The Mandelbox stands about three feet tall and is relatively small. It is made in Germany by Hutterer & Sohn. The roaster has a copper kettle mounted on a shaft with a motor that rotates the kettle. A robotic arm is mounted on the side of the kettle. Three paddles rotate and agitate the nuts while the kettle is spinning. The electricity used is 110 volt 8 amps that powers the stirring arm mechanism and the revolving copper kettle. The nuts are heated by a propane flame that burns very clean. It is said that they taste better than those roasted with electric current. This is the finest quality, most dependable, best selling almond roaster in the world.
