Description
This listing is for the 47” wide antique church pew pictured. The listing price is for local pickup; if shipping is needed, see the details regarding shipping given later in this listing. The pew came from the St Johns United Methodist Church in the Queens district of New York City. The church was established in 1906 as a Lutheran Church where many of the large German immigrant population who lived in the area could meet for worship After a number of years, the building was sold to the Methodist denomination. The church was closed down and the building was sold to a developer and is is scheduled for demolition. As mentioned, the pew is made of quarter sawn oak. The end panels are 38 1/2" high and the pew will extend out from the wall 24". The seat depth is 15" and is the seat height is 17" from the floor. It is very sturdy and will serve its new owner well. The pew has an ornate end panel on the right side ( as you look at it from the front) and a flat end panel on the left side. I have two additional similar pews available as well; one is 51” wide and the other is 52” wide. They are each priced the same (5)I took a picture of the church when I picked up the pews and will include a copy of that picture as well as a picture of the sanctuary interior with the pews in place. I can arrange shipping to any location within the US and offer several possible options for shipping, including blanket shipping, Greyhound Package Express, and freight trucking. I will be happy to get a shipping quote to your location is you send send me your complete address (city, state, and zip). Payment is by Paypal and is expected within 24 hours of purchase.
