Rare LGB 23182 Durango & Silverton Mogul Steam Locomotive and Tender with Box
Excellent Condition
This auction is for a VHTF(Very Hard To Find) Lehmann Gross Bahn (The Big train)
#23182 D & S Railroad No. 9 2-6-0 Mogul Locomotive.
This American Style loco and tender set is in excellent condition. It has a cow catcher, highly polished parts, a huge spark-arresting smoke stack, and a large fully operational front lantern.
The balloon smokestack was commonly used on wood burning locomotives to prevent forest fires. The balloon smokestack contains a smoke generator.  As is common with LGB's balloon smoke stack locos, this one is broken at the base, which means it's loose, but the smoke generator wiring keeps it from detaching. I bought a replacement smoke stack for the loco, but never got around to swapping it out. So, I'll include the smokestack with the locomotive.
Inside the fully detailed cab you'll find the engineer at work. At the front of the loco is a prototypical auxiliary coupler. The loco is equipped with a digital electronic sound system. The four-axle tender features finely detailed trucks and a wood load.

Powerful seven-pole Buhler motor.
Simulated flickering firebox fire.
Digital electronic chuffing sound with wheel synchronization.
The tender comes with a fireman/stoker figure.
The tender also features and On/Off switch for the sound system, along with a volume control knob.
An MTS (Multi-Train System) 55020 decoder module and a 55040 multi-function module are also installed in the tender.
This locomotive runs smoothly in forward and reverse direction without issue. It does have some surface dust from being on a display shelf, when not being ran around my outdoor layout. Also included are an Instruction Booklet and its original box(in excellent condition).
The locomotive and tender measure a little over 26 inches(665mm) in length.
