Tektronix TDS3000 TDS3000B exact functional replacement for DS1742W

Description

Tektronix TDS3000 TDS3000B exact functional replacement for DS1742W. (Same amount of memory, registers, etc.), no slower than 120ns.
There is no TDS3000 or TDS3000B included with this auction.
Only one chip is included. QTY 1 DS1742W replacement. (The replacement chip comes with a socket and instructions)
The auction pictures show the replacement chip installed into the socket.
Notice the right side PCB overhangs the original parts footprint a bit. This not an issue for the TDS3000x.
These chips will be tested in a Tektronix TDS3052B prior to shipment.  Comes with socket, DS1742W module, plus instructions.
Benefits vs old DS1742W
:
1) Battery is more easily replaceable.
2) Installed Battery is larger than the original.  Even though I 'm not 100% sure, I think the original battery was not more than 240mAh. The Installed battery is this new design is 1000mAh)
3) Battery voltage easily measurable.
4) Excluding the battery, this should be UL94V-0 compatible, but no cert supplied.
5) Battery not installed until part is ordered.
6) No more worries about Counterfeit parts from shady sources.
7) This part is not obsolete with no replacement like the original.
You can kludge/bodge your existing DS1742W provided only the battery has failed.  It’s not too hard to look around and find videos/pictures of how to do it.
Drill in exactly the right place...solder...glue, etc.
Pretty messy if you ask me and the exact definition of a bodge.
And if you’re lucky you won't break a pin off the DS1742W when you’re pulling them out for re-work, which would mean game over on that DS1742W.
These parts were created after I received a batch of 10 DS1486 from an eBay seller and later determined all 10 parts were bad.
The parts even had a date code of 2015 when the seller’s picture clearly showed a 2009 date code.
I attempted to return those parts but the seller refused to provide the return to China shipping label and I had to eat the cost of those parts and shipping.
So now my rotten experience results in a good solution for those honest eBay buyers. And yes I know we are talking about DS1742W here, but after the DS1486 China debacle, I did not bother trying the experience again on a DS1742W.
I am not accepting large quantity orders on this part.  It’s only available to those hobbyist who really need the parts.
If you want your scope Hours (Total Operating Time) restored, you will have to provide that # to me at the time of payment, otherwise it will ship programmed as 10,000 hours.
If you want your ethernet mac address restored, you will have to provide that # to me at the time of payment, otherwise I will ship with a default address.
No testing done on other instruments other than the TDS3052B.
Up to 5 days handing time on this item. That will give me enough time to build and test your parts before shipment.
