Vintage 1950's Italian Suburbia USA Wicker & Leather Purse Bag / Fishing Basket

Very nice vintage 1950's Suburbia USA Leather & Wicker Purse / Fishing Basket made in Italy in EXCELLENT condition. Grandma / Grandpa clearly did not use this one very much, nor often.
The woven wicker is tight, contains no breaks, and displays a beautiful natural color. Only minor wear to a few high points on the bottom from sitting on random surfaces. Leather is in good condition too with only minor wear and great color. All brass rivets and hardware show patina, with the exception of a single rivet on the back which appears to have been replaced sometime during its life. The pocket inside appears to be some sort of a vinyl, and much of its fine stitching has come undone.
This is an excellent example of this type of mid-century purse, and displays wonderfully.
Measures approximately 13.5" wide x 8.5" and stands 11.5" tall.
