Vintage Leathered Split Willow Fishing Creel + Leather Strap - New Old Stock

dimensions:  base is 7" wide and 17 1/4" long; lid of basket is 6 ½' x 12 3/4";
base to top of handle is 9 3/4" tall
∙
there is a 9" ruler stamped on the top backside of the leather trim, next to the
handle (great for measuring your catch); in very faint print, BRITISH HONG
KONG is stamped
∙
the back portion of the strap is lined with lamb’s wool; there are hooks and
buckles on the unit for hanging, securing, and attaching
∙
These items came from an old general store that went out of business in 1961.
I don’t know how long they were in the store, so can’t date them exactly.
