Vintage Leather Trim Wicker FLY FISHING CREEL Basket w/ Straps British Hong Kong

Description

This is a vintage (1930s/40s?) Leather and Wicker Fishing Creel made in (British) Hong Kong in good condition.  Leather trim is in good condition with wear from age, Wicker is in good condition, leather straps have cracks and a tear on one at the top, very worn.  Leather has been conditioned and waterproofed with Mink Oil.  Back handle is missing and strap for closure with a leather piece attached to tie shut.. Large size measuring approximately 15 1/2" x 6" x 8" high. Basket is marked Made in Hong Kong and hard to see from age. Leather straps are well worn with cracking (see close up photos).  Leather trim is well worn and wraps around entire basket to the bottom.  This is a wonderful old piece.
