*Large Antique French Gothic Highly Carved Panel/Rail/Headboard in Oak Wood

This intricately carved gothic panel is from France and it dates the mid 1800's. We do not know the original use of this piece. The frame of the piece is newer wood and the center arched sections have been built into it. We believe that the center arched sections are from the early to mid 1800s. It is made from solid oak and all hand carved. It is in very good antique condition with the minor nicks and scratches. Note that there are some larger cracks in the arched panels that are all the way through (see photos). Dimensions: 67.25" wide, 48.5" tall and 3.25" thick.
